Jacob-Friedrich-Schöllkopf-Schule,

Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany

The Jakob-Friedrich-Schöllkopf-School is an upper secondary grammar school with a special focus on business administration and economics. The school is not a very big school but incorporates several different types of schools such as the Sixth Form College, high school and vocational college. Students can do
several different school leaving examinations: GCSE, AS-Level, A-Level and an examination in their occupation after taking part in day release classes. Since 2014 we have special courses for refugees. We also have two grammar school classes with an international and billingual focus. The school has a total number of approximately 1200 students and 75 teachers. International exchanges or programs have a long tradition in our school. We have exchanges with Israel, Spain and the USA. Further, we have taken part in Comenius/Erasmus+ Projects (KA2 and KA1) either as partners or coordinator, uninterruptedly since 2001.

Kimpinen Upper Secondary School is a general upper secondary institution, which offers its students a wide selection of courses from sports and foreign languages to mathematics and natural sciences. Our school has about 650 students and 40 teachers. Students can focus on physical education, entrepreneurship, sustainable development or internationalism in their studies.

Lycée Balata, BTP

Balata High School is located in the town of Matoury in French Guiana. It welcomes more than 1000 students in nearly 40 classes and about 100 teachers. Students come from all over the country, but most of them live in the nearby area.

Most of the students learn building trades such as masonry, plastering, architecture etc. We also have a Visual Art Department. Each year, students complete a minimum of 6 weeks of internship in a company. The course structure may vary between 2 or 3 years, post which the students can either search for a job or continue their studies for higher qualifications.

Since 2018, the school also welcomes five general second classes (grade 11) and 2 general first classes (grade 12). At the beginning of the year 2020 two classes of “terminale” (grade 13) will open. Each year, the school welcomes more classes and the number of students will keep on increasing over the coming years.

Our school is an upper secondary school with an upper high school section and a vocational section, with a total of 1200 pupils who mainly come from rural areas and lower class backgrounds.To encourage our pupils to open up and to develop their motivation and ambition, our school has taken part in Erasmus + (KA1) programmes since 2014. We also have partnerships with Portugal, Japan, Germany, Spain.

Kongsbakken videregående skole,

Tromsø, Norway

Our school is an upper secondary school (Gymnasium) preparing for university studies. We also have a music/dance/drama-branch. We have around 70 staff members and 750 students. The students are from 16-19. Except from the common core subjects (Norwegian, history, English, maths, a second foreign language, religion and PE); the students can choose from various science
subjects and social studies subjects.
